TTR96 The railways of Austria part 4 Semmering south .    Welcome to Austria and the Semmeringbahn- the pioneer of mountain railways in Europe. We have made the ascent over the north ramp and reached the summit. Part 4 starts with a look at the Semmering signalling centre then through the tunnel to the south portal and down the line to M?rzzuschlag where the proposed base tunnel would surface. The south ramp is less dramatic than the north but the trains are the same! Bruck an der Mur is the town where the routes to Graz and Slovenia and the route to  Austria's southern cities and Italy diverge. We head south towards Graz and visit the narrow gauge mineral railway at Mixnitz. Following the river Mur the S?dbahn reaches Graz. We look at the trams and the local railways run by the GKB, and conclude with a visit to Stainz and the museum line - the Stainzerbahn - a 760mm steam worked gem!   Narrated RT 95 mins
