Welcome back to Austria with Ticket to Ride. We are travelling with EC 114 from Villach in the Austrian county of Carinthia to Salzburg. We are now at Bad Gastein the first InterCity stop north of the Tauern tunnel. The time is 11.20 and we are about to set off down the north ramp towards Schwarzach-St Veit where we joint the Westbahn for the run to Salzburg. Rebuilding of the north ramp is less advanced but we see some of the infrastructure for the new line coming together as we descend. RT 93mins
