TTR129 CD/OBB Cabride+ Rybnik to Summerau and Linz. We are on the international main line between the capital- Prague and Linz- Austria's second city. We had to catch a special train between České Budějovice and Omienice because an accident at a level crossing had closed the line. A bus has just delivered us to Rybnik Zartelsdorf, where we will be continuing our journey south entering Austria north of Summerau. Our locomotive is an OBB dual voltage TAURUS the driver is from the CD as far as Summerau where an OBB man takes over. We run through the gentle Böhmerwald which become the Mühlviertel in Austria. The peaks are in the region of 1,000m - virtually flat for Austria! This run is through attractive agricultural countryside and we can see along the way how the OBB and Rail Cargo Austria retain customers in this oft neglected sector. Things change dramatically as we near Linz with Voest Alpina on one side of us and Chemi Linz  now DSM  on the other. Before we arrive at Linz HBF we see the Nestlè soup train being prepared for its overnight journey. Narrated. RT 88 mins
