The Warminster Plain Crazy  13 mile-ish road run took place on December 27th 2009 over a circular route across a section of the Salisbury plain military training area normally closed to the public. The race started at the bottom of Sack Hill adjacent to Battlesbury Barracks- home of the Land Warfare Centre.
After a steep climb the runners followed the undulating road past rusting tanks down to the deserted village of Imber,  then a further climb onto the bleak and barren open plain for the home run back down to the finishing line. The weather for the event was bright but cold, a still air temperature of 5-7 Centigrade was made to feel much lower in the steady 10mph wind from the west. There was still ice on the tarmac in places- notably on the approach to Imber village. The race entry was a very creditable 160- plus three dogs!
The participants have been filmed at three locations:  The start, Imber Village and the finish. Running time circa 40 mins. DVD+R PAL only.
