We reach the sea at Halmstad. Our X2000 200kph tilting train makes a call at this important city port. We have just come off the NBS but the run to Varberg 50km to our north could hardly be more different. This is one of the last un-rebuilt sections of the line between Malm? and Gothenburg.? The entry to Varberg is over a single track line along side the dramatic coast with the castle between us and the water. North of the busy little port it?s a modern line again running through Kungsbacka, M?lndal past the pleasure gardens and then into Gothenburg itself, where we look at the trams and the port.
